Tava is the Sanskrit word for “your” – so, this is your yoga.

Hi, my name is Lauren, and my yoga journey began in 2007. It wasn’t long before I could feel the enormous benefits of regular yoga practice. The physical, emotional and spiritual changes are profound.

 

Yoga has an amazing ability to change your body and state of mind.​ I undertook yoga teacher training in 2016 and was trained in the traditional Hatha yoga style. I am also a registered senior yoga teacher with Yoga Australia, and a qualified yoga therapist.

​

My teacher inspired me to coach with empathy, respect and acceptance, welcoming each student as an individual and supporting them on their journey. ​My style is warm, open and nurturing., and I will guide you to find that quiet space within your mind and soul.

 

Every day brings opportunities for me to learn and grow as a teacher and as an individual. From reading, to training courses, to my greatest teachers - my students - your growth on the mat fills me with great pride and joy.​

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a practice that brings harmony to body, mind, and emotions. Through movement, breath, and stillness, it cultivates clarity, calm, and overall well-being.
 
Regular practice builds awareness between the physical, mental, and emotional layers, restoring balance from within. Key benefits include improved oxygenation, reduced stress, and a deeper connection to self.

Each class typically includes:
- Pranayama (breathwork)
- Asanas (postures)
- Savasana (relaxation), which is a gateway to meditation and inner stillness.


 

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy at Tava Yoga offers personalised guidance rooted in ancient practice to support your wellbeing. Each session is collaborative, empowering, and tailored to ease discomfort - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

We welcome every body and every story. If you:
